BRACKNELL, UK – 28 January 2011– Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), host to the only F1 motor race in the Middle East, has teamed up with Maximizer CRM 11 to help the circuit further grow its business and fulfil its aim of becoming recognised as the home of motorsport in the region.

Maximizer Software, a leading provider of simple, accessible and affordable customer relationship management (CRM) systems, is helping BIC to achieve its objectives through streamlining operations and easing management of the company’s huge contact database. Including the prestigious Formula 1 race, BIC hosts a wide variety of motorsports, such as national and local championships, drag racing and karting. The circuit has seven tracks – two of which can be run simultaneously – and ranks among the world’s top echelon of motorsport centres.

This means BIC’s managers and staff are focused on exceeding visitor expectations and rely on Maximizer’s centralised hub of customer information to record, manage and consolidate data, essential to handling a high volume of incoming customer requests and delivering first-class customer service.

BIC has developed into a complex business, with many commercial operations alongside ticket sales, ranging from conferences and exhibitions, corporate sponsorship and, ultimate driving experiences, to bike and car open track days, and 4x4 off-road passenger rides. It has a seating capacity for 45,000 spectators, an eight-story Sakhir Tower with roof terrace, VIP and hospitality suites, a pit and paddock complex for 11 Grand Prix teams, and 18 dedicated buildings for international racing teams. In addition, it has a thriving retail operation selling clothing, accessories and gift vouchers.

But despite its success since opening in 2004, BIC is not content to rest on its laurels. There is a constant drive to bring motorsport to an ever-wider audience – and to grow revenue and profitability. Maximizer helps by providing a single customer view across all departments, and enhances communication throughout BIC’s sales, marketing and customer service departments. This means they can engage with clients more effectively, target customers with tailored sales and marketing campaigns and manage opportunities more efficiently, the result of which has been an increase in the pipeline for sponsorship, ticket sales and open track days.

Rajiv Pandhi, from Gnet, which is Maximizer’s Certified Business Partner in the region, commented that Maximizer CRM has shown its flexibility in fitting the commercial needs of BIC. For example, the Maximizer sales opportunity module tracks, logs and maintains all interactions related to sponsorship contracts, generating reports and statistics in minutes. This is much easier than the previous system which used Microsoft Office.

BIC also links Maximizer CRM with its ENTA ticketing software so that the ticket purchasing history of a client can be viewed through Maximizer, and tickets printed out using ENTA.
